Acceptance of R.N.s into the Walla Walla University Bachelor of Science with a major in 护理 is based on available space in the fall quarter senior class each year.

- A current unencumbered Oregon R.N. 许可证.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0或以上. This includes college level class work only, from all regionally accredited colleges attended. Grades from vocational schools are 不 included in this calculation.
- Successful completion of a standardized examination to validate nursing knowledge to receive advanced standing as a senior level nursing student (fee applies). Based on successful completion of this exam, R.N.s with a current 许可证 are granted 16 lower division nursing credits and 32 upper division nursing credits and are exempt from taking NRSG 210, 211, 212, 213, 321, 331, 344, 和354年.
- Validation exam only needed if student has been 许可证d for longer than 5 years.
- Completion of (by program start date) 136+ transferable credits of required prerequisites, 同源词, general studies, and electives that apply to the nursing major. 看到 交通指南 for appropriate courses from various local colleges.

- Microbiology: 4-5 credits with lab

- Statistics: must be descriptive & 推论. An additional math class is 不 required for the nursing major. Some community college statistics courses require a pre-requisite math class of 100-level or above. Statistics courses with prefixes other than MATH or STATS may 不 be adequate.
- Writing/English Composition: 8-9 credits of College Writing/English Composition including adequate content in research writing.
- Speech (Public Speaking or Small Group Communication)
- PE: 1 credit - activity courses only
- History: One course in U.S. History, World History, or Western Civilization. One additional course in history or philosophy required for graduation (approx. 8学分).
- Humanities: One course in introductory art/literature/music/philosophy, critical reasoning, 世界音乐, 戏剧/剧院, creative/poetry writing. One additional course required for graduation (approximately 8学分).

- Credits in 解剖学 & 生理学, 化学, and Microbiology more than 5 years old are 不 accepted unless applicant has recent work experience as an R.N. (must be in-person, 不 online courses).
- No grade lower than a C is accepted in all nursing prerequisites and cognate courses.
- All transfer courses must be from a regionally accredited (NWCCU) university or community college.
- All transfer courses must be a 100 level or above.
- Advance Placement (AP) credit must be documented.
- Prerequisite requirements are 不 the same as graduation requirements.

Once you apply, you will have access to your Enrollment portal.
3. Request 成绩单
Request the issuing institution(s) to send 所有正式 college, vocational school, and College Board (for any Advanced Placement credits) 成绩单 to Walla Walla University, either electronically (via the issuing institution's electronic service) to 成绩单@great-american-novel.com or by mail to the following address:

4. 提交 a copy of your current R.N. 许可证.

5. Obtain letters of reference
提交 three (3) letters of reference (preferred: teacher, employer, or co-worker, 不 a family member). Letters of reference can be filled out online or by paper copy sent to WWU 招生 (address above). From the Enrollment portal, you can see when these documents are received.
6. Complete the nursing essay.
Click on the link in the Enrollment portal to access the online form.
7. Complete pre-admission testing.
You must apply to WWU prior to testing. Work with your nursing advisor to take the 健康 Science Reasoning Test (HSRT), a 50-minute timed test that must be taken in English (see below). The testing fee is $20.
A passing score on the 健康 Sciences Reasoning Test is 17 or above.
This 50-minute timed test has 33 multiple-choice questions that measures critical thinking skills of health science students. Test-takers apply their skills in a variety of different scenarios in the areas of analysis, 解释, 推理, 评价, 解释, 感应, 扣除, 和计算能力. Learn more about the HSRT.
The application testing for R.N.s applying for the R.N. B.S. track is usually offered during the summer quarter. Please schedule individual testing appointments with the Student Program Advisor by emailing 波特兰.advising@great-american-novel.com. There is no need to set up a testing date in January.
